以色列 是個小國家，它的土地是台灣的三分之二，人口還不到台灣的三分之一，但他們卻是世界上非常重要的國家，在商業、科技、農業、軍事……方面上都佔有一定的地位。
・ 國旗
以色列國旗中間的六角星被稱為大衛星，是猶太人在國際上的標誌，但其實他們認為代表自己的其實是猶太人的燭台。
・ 國土
以色列在阿拉伯半島上，臨著地中海，周圍都是阿拉伯國家，也因此常常有戰爭。
國際上承認的以色列首都是特拉維夫，但以色列國民認為是耶路撒冷，沒有對錯，在認識這麼多以色列人後，我也會說以色列的首都是耶路撒冷。

・ 人民
以色列除了住著猶太人之外，也有一些阿拉伯人。阿拉伯人就是大家熟悉的中東人臉孔，而猶太人就比較難從長相分辨了。
因為猶太人分散在世界各地將近兩千年，和當地人通婚、混血，所以他們有各種長相，金髮碧眼從蘇俄來的，黑髮、膚色較深從南歐來的，黃皮膚、小眼睛從中國來的，皮膚黝黑的黑人從非洲衣索匹亞來的，都長得非常不一樣，但還是有一些人長得”很猶太人”。
很多人不知道如何從長相分辨猶太人與阿拉伯人，在我看來他們就是有點不一樣，所以分得出來。

・ 宗教信仰
猶太人不都信奉猶太教，不過因為這算是猶太文化的一部分，所以他們都還是會讀聖經、過節日，也都吃kosher食物，就是在聖經舊約裡規定潔淨的食物，大概只有極小部分非常虔誠的猶太人有嚴格遵守他們的律法。
而大家常常認為阿拉伯人就是伊斯蘭教徒，其實不一定，在以色列有很多阿拉伯人是基督徒。
・ 語言
以色列的官方語言是希伯來文和阿拉伯文，這兩個語言其實很像，很多人兩個語言都會，在大城市裡，看到和聽到的還是希伯來文較多。還有，猶太人的英文都很好，都是可以對話的程度，所以在那裡旅行不用擔心。
希伯來文用字母拼音，有27個字母，從右寫到左，例如：שלום 是shalom也就是你好的意思。有人說希伯來文和中文是世界上最難學的二種語言，我自己覺得中文才是最難學的。
・ 貨幣
以色列的貨幣單位是”舍客勒(shekel)”，代號是₪，1舍客勒大約是8到9元新台幣。
紙鈔的面額有20、50、100、200，200的紙鈔比較少見，20上的人是以色列的前總理Moshe Sharett，50上的是作家Shumuel Yosef Agnon，100上的是以色列的第三任總統Yitzhak Ben-Zvi。
硬幣有1 agorot也就是0.1舍客勒、1/2、1、2、5、10舍客勒。1/2？我還是第一次看到有人在硬幣上用分數。
・ 以色列的徵兵制
在以色列，所有高中畢業、十八歲的青少男女都要先去當兵，男生三年、女生兩年，當完兵才去讀大學或做別的事。
因為以色列人口少，又常常需要打仗，所以男女都必須要當兵。不過只有猶太人可以進軍隊，阿拉伯人是不能的，畢竟要他們打其他阿拉伯人、不背叛以色列是不太容易啦。
對他們來說，這是一件非常光榮的事，能為國家效力是他們的榮幸，沒有人會快點吃胖或用其他方法讓自己不用當兵，或是想做替代役，大家都是好好的進入軍隊訓練。
可能因為都當過兵，所以猶太人都挺強壯的，真的不要輕易欺負他們！
