聖誕節前兩個禮拜，我來到 秘魯 中部大城Trujillo旁的 海邊 小鎮Huanchaco，在一間青年旅館打工換宿，雖然工作內容是我從來不會選擇的，不過炎炎夏日，為著青旅裡的游泳池和青旅外的海灘，我就待了下來。
Huanchaco原本是一個貧窮的漁村小鎮，現在成為衝了浪度假勝地。
小鎮靠海的這端，街上滿是海鮮餐廳、旅館、小酒吧、衝浪學校。
這裡的外國遊客並不多，平日的時間不會感覺擁擠或商業化，不過，一到週末假日，那些住在附近城市的秘魯人就會湧進來，沙灘上滿了玩水的人，沿著海灘的路上則是擺滿了各種小攤子，賣冷飲、現打果汁、秘魯甜甜圈picarones等等，原本安靜的小鎮頓時變得熱鬧起來。
Huanchaco有著非常特別的海邊景色，像是稻草捆的東西排排站在沙灘邊上，也看不太出來到底是什麼東西。
我問了當地人才知道，那些是蘆葦做的小船：caballitos de totora，是過去3000年來當地漁民所使用的，他們蹲或跪坐在船上，靠著槳和海浪來前進。不用時，他們就把caballitos de totora立著插在沙灘上。

▼ 直到今日，還有當地的居民使用蘆葦船出海抓魚，也有給遊客體驗的活動。
▼ Huanchaco是出了名衝浪的好地方，每天在海裡都可以看到正在衝浪的人們，甚至假日時還有辦國際的比賽，這裡也有很多衝浪學校，可以上課或是租借衝浪板。
▼ 我的青年旅館一出門就是海灘，不出門也有游泳池，根本就太完美了，非常適合我像魚的習性。
早上工作，下午玩水，我在這裡的生活十分怡然自得。
我在青年旅館的工作主要是幫忙準備早餐，偶爾打掃室外、清理游泳池，都非常的簡單，甚至有幾次，我們還出去發傳單，邀請人來參加青年旅館辦的派對。
結束工作後，因為天氣太熱了，我通常都在游泳池度過，不是在水裡游泳，就是在躺椅上賴著，有時候也會去海邊玩水、衝浪，一不小心就曬成小黑人了。
晚上的時間，小鎮裡也沒有太多地方去，除了和朋友在沙灘吹風、喝啤酒，我們最常做的就是去旁邊的Frog青年旅館的酒吧，那裡常常都有不同的樂團現場演奏。

那天，我在房間裡找到了一雙免洗筷。
早上，我去了鎮上的小市場，外面的街上有許多賣魚的攤販，雖然擺放的不太衛生，但魚都很新鮮，而且一條中等大小的魚竟然才15塊台幣，忍不住就買了一條回去。雖然我常常下廚，但沒有什麼料理魚的經驗，打電話問了媽媽後，還是煎出一條四分五裂的魚。
我拿出幾天前買的醬油和找到的免洗筷，端著我的魚、坐在陽台上的沙發享用，吃著吃著，累積了很久的想家感覺好像魚肉一樣漸漸少去。
我還在想自己看起來會不會很奇怪，一轉頭，另一邊坐著一個阿根廷的女生，一邊放著阿根廷的cumbia音樂，一邊喝著瑪黛茶(Maté)。
我突然覺得很有趣，她和我一樣，身在異國，但都正做著屬於自己文化的事。
☀ 長途旅行中，想家、想念自己的生活是很正常的，也是不可避免的，用筷子吃魚沾醬油，不代表我沒有在體驗或享受這裡的生活，只代表雖然我看似已拉丁化、講著西班牙文，但無論如何我還是一個流著中華血液的人。
